Sick

Jorie has been really sick for the past week. So sick in fact that Ryan has had to stay at grandma and grandpa's house to avoid exposure to this nasty virus. Two of Jorie's classmates have had pneumonia in the last 2 weeks and I'm certain it is the same virus Jorie has. It's a pretty bad one and I know it's one of those viruses that if Ryan were to catch it, it could be life threatening for him. Unfortunately, last night, Joshua started with a fever too. We're hoping and praying that he does not get the virus that Jorie has had. Despite the sickness for the past week, Jorie was feeling pretty good today. And Joshua's fever was down enough today that we decided to try and get out for a little bit. The kids have not been out much at all this week. Not at all uncommon in this family this time of year! But, we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather. So, we took Joshua and Jorie to Drake park. They had so much fun seeing the ducks! We found a small bag of snack mix in Joshua's diaper bag and were able to feed them a small amount of it. They sure loved it! You might notice in some of the photos, Joshua's black eye. He fell a few days ago on one of his daddy's pieces of stereo equipment! It was a pretty good fall as you can see from the looks of his poor eye!
